DRIVER at Eagle Labs Inc – Largo, Florida

GENERAL PURPOSE

The purpose of this job description is to outline the key responsibilities, qualifications, and expectations for drivers at Eagle Labs Inc. This role is essential for picking up goods and materials, verifying load accuracy, and delivering them as instructed. Candidates should be able to load and unload cargo effectively and possess strong organizational skills. Key qualities include reliability, time management, patience, and safe driving practices. communication skills, mechanical knowledge, alertness, Safety, and stress management. Experience is required for this role, including basic vehicle maintenance. Additionally, knowledge of construction tools and safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with all work policies and processes.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers

• Obeying and following applicable traffic laws

• Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle

• Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations

• Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving

• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules

• Complying with truck driving rules and regulations

• Reporting defects, accidents, and violations

• Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)

• Loading and unloading box trucks with forklifts and pallet jacks

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- A valid driver's license

- A clean driving record with no history of accidents

- Proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency

- Successful completion of a DOT physical exam by a nationally certified medical examiner to demonstrate physical fitness for driving

- Excellent leadership and team management skills

- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Education: High school diploma or GED

Experience

Minimum of 2-3 years of driving a truck 26 ft or larger

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to drive/ stand/walk for extended periods; experience in loading and unloading while using a pallet jack; ability to reliably move heavy materials; strong time management skills; commitment to safe driving practices; high attention to detail; and the ability to work effectively within a team.
