About the Role: As the Payroll & Benefits Administrator, you will provide support to the entire companys employee base when it comes to payroll or benefits questions and/or concerns. You will also work closely with our Administrative, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure the success of both long-term projects and day-to-day operations. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and an analytical mindset. The right candidate will have proven ability to synthesize information, display sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
Your Impact: - Administer payroll, health benefits and retirement services accurately and timely- Select and maintain systems that serve employee needs- Create accessible and effective access points for employee information - Perform daily petty cash reimbursements- Perform monthly petty cash account reconciliations- Track credit card receiptsTrack daily credit card spend and cash availability - Supporting the VP of Operations by planning and executing special projects- Participating in cross-departmental projects, providing support to the administrative, legal, and finance teams, as needed- Research-based projects- General administrative tasks

• Possesses a Bachelors degree
• Has a minimum of 4 years experience with payroll and benefits administration
• A strong knack for solving complex puzzles
• An analytically-minded person with strong mathematical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• A Microsoft Excel wizard
• Eager to learn and innovate, contributing at a high-performing level
• Performs well under pressure with a sense of urgency
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Proactive self-starter, no task is too big or too small
• Highly capable with technology

Bonus Skills:

• ADP or Paychex experience
• QuickBooks experience
• Bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Any HR certifications
• Notary Republic

In the first 90 days, you will be expected to:

• Prepares and contributes to meetings at a high level
• Takes ownership of responsibilities
• Running payroll by self and become point of contact for all payroll and benefits questions
• Fully engaged with HR initiatives and provides useful insights and effective support
• Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly and effectively

• Maintains positive relationships with their team and other colleagues
• Completes necessary educational courses and readings
