Civil Engineer
📍 Fort Myers, Florida
🏗 Heavy Civil | Site Development | Marine | Mining Operations

Earth Tech Enterprises is a fast-growing heavy civil construction company specializing in site development, marine construction, mining operations, and aggregate production throughout Southwest Florida. We are seeking a driven, solutions-oriented Civil Engineer to support field operations, project management, and estimating teams in delivering high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.
If you thrive in a hands-on environment where engineering meets execution — and you believe in doing it better every day — we want to meet you.

Position Overview
The Civil Engineer will provide technical engineering support across multiple active projects, including site development, underground utilities, marine construction (seawalls, pile driving, concrete caps), and mining operations. This role bridges design, field operations, and project management to ensure constructability, accuracy, and efficiency.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer who wants exposure to real-world heavy civil construction — not just desk design.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports
  • Assist with project planning, phasing, and constructability analysis
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and support estimating efforts
  • Develop and review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs
  • Coordinate with survey crews and verify layout accuracy
  • Perform field visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans and specifications
  • Support change order pricing and documentation
  • Assist in stormwater compliance, erosion control planning, and permitting coordination
  • Work cross-functionally with Superintendents, Project Managers, and Estimators
  • Utilize software such as AGTEK Civil 3D, Bluebeam, HCSS/HeavyBid (preferred), and Excel

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required
  • 2–6 years of experience in heavy civil, site development, marine, or mining projects preferred
  • EIT required; PE or PE-track strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of earthwork, utilities, grading, and drainage systems
  • Experience with FDOT or municipal standards a plus
  • Knowledge of stormwater systems and Florida permitting requirements preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working both in the field and office environments

Performance Metrics
  • Accuracy of quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
  • Timely and accurate RFI/submittal turnaround
  • Field issue resolution efficiency
  • Contribution to on-time and on-budget project delivery
  • Reduction in rework through proactive constructability review
  • Compliance with safety and environmental standards

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary (commensurate with experience)
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Opportunity for growth into Project Management or Senior Engineering roles
  • A culture built on Schedule, Budget, Quality — delivered by Humble, Hungry, and Smart professionals who know how to have Fun while getting it done.
