We are looking for a Junior AI Developer to help us design, build, and improve AI agents on AWS Agent Core. These agents will be used to automate manual company workflows, support engineering teams, and help us move faster across the business. We do not expect you to be an AI expert. Instead, we are looking for someone who is curious, scrappy, action-oriented, and able to learn quickly. We want someone who is excited to build, test ideas, figure things out, and continuously improve systems over time. You will work closely with engineering and business stakeholders to turn repetitive work into agent-driven workflows. Some agents may support operational processes, while others may be focused on engineering productivity, development workflows, and internal tooling. You’ll play a key role in shaping how AI agents are designed and deployed across Whip!
What You’ll Do:Build and iterate on AI agents using AWS Agent Core
Help identify manual workflows that can be automated with agents
Work with engineering and business teams to understand problems and turn them into practical agent solutions
Prototype quickly, test ideas, and improve based on feedback
Connect agents to internal systems, APIs, and structured workflows
Help define how agents should reason, take action, and hand work off between systems
Support engineering-focused agent use cases such as workflow automation, ticket handling, review flows, and internal tooling
Document how agents work, what they do, and where they need improvement
Continuously look for ways to simplify, automate, and improve business operations
Eager to learn and not afraid to work in a new space
Takes initiative and likes turning ideas into working solutions
Comfortable experimenting, failing fast, and improving quickly
Follows through and executes with minimal hand-holding
Curious about AI, automation, developer tools, and business workflows
Strong problem-solving mindset
Able to communicate clearly and work across technical and non-technical teams
Some experience with software development, scripting, automation, or internal tools
Familiarity with APIs, JSON, workflows, or cloud platforms
Exposure to AWS is helpful
Exposure to Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go is helpful
Interest in AI agents, LLMs, workflow automation, or developer productivity tools is a plus
You are able to take a workflow idea and turn it into a working first version quickly
You consistently make progress without waiting for perfect instructions
You become increasingly effective at building useful agents that save time and reduce manual work
You help the team move from experimentation into repeatable execution
You grow into a strong builder who can own agent workflows end-to-end
