Position Summary:

Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. (ACT) is looking for a Lead Maintenance Technician to support our Anaheim, CA composite manufacturing facility.

This role combines hands-on maintenance work with planning and coordination responsibilities. The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the building and manufacturing equipment, developing and carrying out preventive maintenance schedules, and coordinating repairs with outside service providers when needed. This position also includes responsibility for hazardous waste handling and disposal and may involve providing day-to-day guidance to another maintenance technician.

Requirements:

Building Maintenance

  • Handle basic building repairs such as lighting, plumbing, ventilation, and general upkeep.
  • Call and work with outside repair companies when needed.
  • Make sure contracted work is done safely and correctly.

Equipment Maintenance

  • Perform basic maintenance and small repairs on equipment such as:
    • Autoclaves, presses, air compressors, vacuum pumps, and other machine shop equipment.
  • Contact external repairpersons as needed for larger repairs
  • Help keep equipment running so production stays on schedule.

Plan and track maintenance

  • Set up regular maintenance schedules for equipment and building systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Keep records of work that has been done.
  • Look for repeated problems and suggest better ways to maintain equipment.

Handle hazardous waste

  • Collect, label, store, and arrange disposal of hazardous waste according to company procedures and safety rules.
  • Keep required records related to hazardous waste handling and disposal.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Lead and support others

  • Help direct the work of other assigned maintenance personnel
  • Decide what maintenance work should be done first.
  • Work with supervisors and production staff to avoid disrupting operations.
  • May require occasional janitorial duties. Other duties as assigned or necessary.

Additional requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3- 5 years of maintenance experience in a factory, shop, or industrial setting.
  • Ability to plan maintenance work and keep basic records.
  • Comfortable using basic computer programs (email, simple tracking).
  • Able to lift materials, use tools, and work safely around machinery.
  • Good communication skills are required.
  • Good organizational skills a plus
  • Computer competencies (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights, must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 25-50 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Must be self-driven and willing to step up to ensure company expectations are met
  • Comfortable working on ladders or at heights when needed.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • U.S. Person status is required due to ITAR and export control regulations. A U.S. Person is defined as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. §1324b.

Preferred

  • Previous lead or supervisor experience.
  • Experience in machine shop/composite facilities.
  • Electrical, mechanical, HVAC, pneumatic, or hydraulic experience.
  • Experience handling hazardous materials or waste.
  • Forklift or manlift experience.
