This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Network Engineer in the United States.
This senior-level engineering role is responsible for designing, operating, and evolving a global corporate network that supports a fast-paced, video-first technology environment. You will own critical infrastructure spanning campus, WAN, cloud connectivity, and remote access systems that keep a distributed workforce securely and reliably connected. The position requires deep technical expertise combined with strong ownership, as the network is mission-critical to daily operations and internal productivity. You will work in a highly collaborative engineering environment where automation, observability, and scalability are key priorities. The role also involves close partnership with security and cloud teams to enable resilient, secure, and high-performing connectivity across global systems. It is ideal for a hands-on expert who enjoys solving complex networking challenges while improving systems at scale.
- Design, implement, and operate enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, routing, switching, wireless, MPLS, and SD-WAN environments.
- Manage global routing and connectivity systems such as BGP, VLAN segmentation, and Layer 2 topologies to ensure network stability and performance.
- Administer network security controls including firewall policies, Zero Trust access models, and network access control (802.1X).
- Support secure cloud connectivity and collaborate with security and cloud engineering teams on architecture and integration initiatives.
- Develop automation tools, scripts, and infrastructure-as-code solutions to reduce operational overhead and improve scalability.
- Act as a senior technical escalation point and participate in on-call rotations for critical network incidents.
- Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, runbooks, and change management procedures.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of enterprise network engineering experience with strong hands-on operational expertise.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking and advanced packet-level troubleshooting.
- Proven experience with BGP routing, including policy design, prefix filtering, and peering management.
- Strong expertise in Layer 2 technologies such as VLANs (802.1Q), spanning tree protocols, and link aggregation.
- Experience implementing and managing enterprise 802.1X and network access control systems.
- Hands-on firewall administration experience (e.g., Palo Alto or equivalent platforms).
- Experience with Zero Trust and remote access solutions such as Zscaler, Prisma Access, or GlobalProtect.
- Familiarity with Juniper networking equipment and Aruba wireless infrastructure (or equivalent technologies).
- Experience with network monitoring and observability tools such as SNMP, NetFlow, and syslog platforms.
- Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and comfort working across cross-functional engineering teams.
Benefits:
- Competitive total compensation ranging from $124,000 to $271,200, plus bonus and equity opportunities.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
- Retirement savings plan with employer support.
- Flexible work model (remote, hybrid, or in-person depending on role requirements).
- Strong focus on work-life balance and employee well-being.
- Learning and career development opportunities in a fast-growing, innovation-driven environment.
- Additional perks supporting physical, mental, emotional, and financial wellness.
