Job Description
SUMMARY:
The beverage attendant is responsible for ensuring the convenience needs are met for patrons, greeting and servicing guests in co-ordinance of existing systems, policies, training, and departmental standards. The beverage attendant is expected to engage with guests through prompt attentive service, timely communication with immediate supervisors and peers, deductive reasoning, problem solving and self-accountability. The attendant is expected to know, understand, and abide by established company policy, departmental procedures, and display comprehensive knowledge of the policies dictated in title 31, proper cash handling, and the safe and responsible sale and service of alcohol. The beverage cart attendant should also possess general understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Operates the bar and or the motorized beverage cart with caution, respect, and within the guidelines set by the Director of Operations.
- Prepares all beverages and condiment needs as requested in a sanitary and timely manner.
- Able to perform physically strenuous activities for prolonged periods of time in a variety of weather conditions.
- Alerts a member of the leadership team in the event of product shortage or quality issues.
- Cleans and maintains bar and or beverage cart and product storage areas through practicing food safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
- Practices proper cash handling methods, returns exact guest change, and properly remits all required documentation of credit card transactions, declaration of all gratuities, and all monies owed the food and beverage department at the close of each shift.
- Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment used in the front of the house.
- Keep all areas clean and sanitized as directed.
- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Supervisor or Director at any time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Motorized Beverage Cart operating experience preferred and cash handling experience.
- Must possess Food Handlers Certification, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and a valid driver’s license.
