CNC Programmer Machinist (Lathe and Mill)
Pay: Starting at $27.00 per hour and up based on experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Overtime: Saturdays from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM (average 56 hours per week)
Job Type: Contract to Hire
A well-established manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer Machinist to join their team. This position focuses on programming, setup, and machining of precision components used in industrial applications. You will work closely with shop leadership to ensure high-quality output in a production-driven environment.
What You Will Do- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand machining requirements
- Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and milling machines
- Create and modify G-code using various control systems such as Fanuc, Haas, Fagor, or Heidenhain
- Machine parts to tight tolerances up to 0.0005 inch while maintaining consistency
- Perform inspections using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges
- Verify that completed parts meet specifications and quality expectations
- Follow established safety practices in an industrial shop environment
- Maintain reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Handle materials up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks
- Support production demands, including overtime as scheduled
- Proven experience in CNC machining with programming responsibilities
- Ability to understand and work from engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision work
- Working knowledge of G-code programming
- Dedication to workplace safety and quality standards
- First shift role with consistent overtime available
