About This Position

Job Summary Overview

The Data Analyst is a senior-level role within the Alliance for Equity in Cancer Care (AECC) responsible for providing operational leadership, advanced data oversight and quality assurance for non-clinical navigation services across the oncology system sites. This role functions with direct accountability for data integrity, performance metrics and support for the daily workflow of the AECC team. The Data Analyst is responsible for collection, analysis, validation and reporting of program data to support clinical operations, financial sustainability and health equity initiatives. This role serves as central data integrity ensuring accurate capture of patient navigation services, supporting PIN billing workflows and providing insight to leadership. The Data Analyst collaborates with Oncology leadership, Epic reporting and production, finance and key leadership stakeholders to improve data accuracy, support Grant deliverables, billing reconciliation and program sustainability.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in non-clinical navigation, care coordination or related role
  • 2 or more years experience in data analysis, oversight and database information system infrastructure and development
  • Bachelors Degree preferred in health services, information systems, public health, sciences,
  • Masters preferred but not required.

Essential Job Functions

  • Leadership
    • Integrates with primary care and other specialty care, patient centered communication and engagement in care and psychosocial and supportive care with the goal to improve access to high quality cancer care for underserved populations.
    • Provides workflow leadership and escalation support.
    • Support onboarding, training, and competency development.
    • Ensure alignment with AECC standards, workflows, and principles.
    • Monitor caseload distribution, service coverage and continuity of care and provide coverage as needed with overall management of complex barrier navigation cases.
    • Monitor telephony system for coverage and identification of trends and data metrics to leadership.
  • Data Oversight and Analysis
    • Oversee data capture related to referrals, patient touchpoints, and AECC trackers.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and system tracking
    • Monitor Patient engagement metrics
    • Identify patients eligible for PIN Billing using Epic tools and processing for billing readiness
    • Validate documentation and navigation services to ensure CMS PIN billing requirements with the creation of data metrics and dashboards
    • Validate and reconcile data for internal reporting, audits, and navigation metrics.
    • Create database infrastructure in collaboration with the data support team.
    • Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting
    • Partner with revenue cycle, finance and Epic teams to ensure improved processes and workflow automation
    • Partner with leadership on development of dashboards, reports, and metrics
    • Track PIN billing Metrics and report to AECC leadership monthly
    • Monitor NPO Workbook and compliance
    • Support sustainability planning by analyzing navigation program productivity and billable service utilization with supporting data metrics.
    • Conduct quarterly audits for data integrity, accuracy and Grant compliance
    • Oversee referral process for the AECC Navigators
