POSITION SUMMARY:
The Computer Lab Facilitator is responsible for the delivery of computer classes within YWCA Saskatoon’s Employment and Learning Centre. This position requires the candidate create a welcoming learning environment where all learners increase their technological skills, build confidence in abilities, and improve work readiness.

POSITION REPORTING: Reporting to the Manager of Employment Services
HOURS OF WORK: Part-Time Temporary, 25 hours/week, beginning as soon as possible and ending July 31st, 2026
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instruct classes and workshops
- Introduction to Computers
- Internet and Email
- Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word Introduction and Intermediate, Excel Introduction and Intermediate, PowerPoint Introduction).
- Social Media
- Job Searching Online
- Google Classroom and Zoom
- Supporting individuals accessing resources for job search:
- answer student and job seeker enquiries about computer software and programs
- conduct individual assessments to evaluate student skill levels and class
- review resumes and cover letters to assist with formatting
- assist with creating LinkedIn profiles
- make copies, print job postings and job search documents as required
- assist job seekers with on-line training and certificates
- Keeping up computer lab maintenance:
- turning the computers on/off; logging computers on/off for students and job seekers
- resolving any technical problems and computer maintenance across Employment and Learning Centre
- keeping computers and stations clean and making sure paper and pens are available for students and job seekers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of related experience delivering classes or workshops with an adult education focus – an equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered
- excellent knowledge of Windows XP, Microsoft Office applications, Internet and Email
- demonstrated ability to provide instruction in a clear, concise way to people at a variety of learning levels and from a variety of backgrounds
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- an understanding of and commitment to the philosophies of YWCA Saskatoon
WAGE: $21.89 per hour (Step 1 – Program Coordinator wage grid)
