Hourly Technician at Peak Honda World – Littleton, Colorado

JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY

The Powersports Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining powersports vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. They play a crucial role in providing high-quality service to our customers and supporting the overall success of the service department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Repair small engines and service powersports vehicles and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.

· Replace or repair damaged or worn parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.

· Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire replacements/mounting, and brake inspections, to keep vehicles in good condition.

· Test run vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper functioning before returning them to customers.

· Complete repair orders and service reports accurately and efficiently, documenting all work performed and parts used.

· Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the service department.

· Keep abreast of manufacturer updates, technical bulletins, and industry developments related to power sports vehicles and equipment.

· Collaborate with service advisors, shop foreman, and other technicians to prioritize work orders and meet customer expectations.

· Ensure repairs are completed effectively and efficiently to reduce the number of comebacks.

· Maintain Proficiency in service software, CRM DMS, lightspeed, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.

· Operate heavy machinery to include automotive / powersports lift and forklift with proper certifications.

· Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in designated areas as per company policies and procedures.

· Loading and unloading units into shop.

· Clock in and out of jobs in Lightspeed, leaving tech notes and recommendations.

· All other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS

The Powersports Technician reports directly to the Service Manager and the Shop Foreman and works closely with other technicians, service advisors, parts department staff, and management.

QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or equivalent; Technical certification or degree in Powersports Technology or related field preferred.

· Previous experience as a power sports technician or in a similar role in an automotive or power sports service department.

· Proficiency in diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.

· Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Gain and maintain certifications for all brand manufacturers relevant to the projects you are working with or on.

· Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

· Clocking in and out of Paylocity daily.
