Position Title: Marketing Manager (Operations)
Location: Hybrid (Chapel Hill, NC)

Overview:

We are seeking a versatile and proactive Marketing Manager (Operations) to support our growing marketing initiatives. This role will play a key part in managing our marketing automation platform, developing marketing collateral, overseeing social media, and handling day-to-day operations to keep our strategies on track. Additionally, the Marketing Manager will lead the reporting and analysis of marketing performance, ensuring our efforts align with business goals and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and Optimize Marketing Automation:

  • Oversee our use of HubSpot, managing end-to-end marketing automation processes, including email templates, automated forms, workflows, and nurturing programs.
  • Ensure best practices are applied to all communications, enhancing segmentation strategies for optimized audience engagement.

2. Reporting and Dashboard Creation:

  • Develop and maintain marketing performance dashboards in HubSpot and other platforms, providing clear visibility into key metrics for marketing campaigns, lead generation, engagement, and ROI.
  • Regularly analyze data to generate insights, reporting on KPIs to guide marketing strategies and enhance campaign effectiveness.

3. Support Event Planning and Execution:

  • Assist with event planning and execution, coordinating with event planning vendors and internal teams to ensure successful marketing activities that engage attendees.
  • Create and manage event-related assets, including emails, landing pages, social media posts, and collateral.

4. Social Media Strategy and Management:

  • Develop, execute, and manage the company’s social media strategy to build brand presence across platforms, engaging with target audiences through organic and paid campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure social media aligns with overall marketing efforts, tracking and reporting on social media performance to optimize future activities.

5. Marketing Collateral and Material Management:

  • Collaborate with design vendors to create and manage marketing collateral, ensuring all materials align with brand guidelines and support sales and marketing initiatives effectively.

6. Coordinate Communication and CRM Needs:

  • Work with stakeholders across departments to coordinate outbound communication, leveraging segmentation strategies for personalized and targeted messaging.
  • Support CRM usage by setting up email templates, automated forms, surveys, and trigger campaigns for sales, ensuring deliverability and alignment with sales goals.

7. Lead Targeted Nurture Programs:

  • Develop targeted nurture programs by industry segment, tracking and optimizing customer journeys and engagement rates through HubSpot automation.

8. Additional Marketing Support:

T* ake on other tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the marketing team and achieve business objectives.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in creating and managing marketing campaigns, preferably with a strong emphasis on email marketing, social media, and automation.
  • Platform Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of HubSpot and Salesforce (or similar marketing automation and CRM platforms), with experience in developing dashboards and reporting on marketing performance metrics.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with superior interpersonal abilities and a knack for teamwork and persuasion.
  • Social Media Savvy: Proven experience in managing social media channels, from strategy through execution and performance analysis.


Bonus Points For:

  • Background in Higher Education Technology: Experience in the higher education tech space or familiarity with its unique market dynamics.
  • HubSpot Certifications: Certifications in HubSpot (such as Inbound Marketing, Marketing Hub, or Email Marketing) to validate your expertise and skillset.
  • Event Planning Experience: Hands-on experience in planning and executing marketing events, including managing logistics, coordinating with vendors, and handling on-site or virtual event activities.
