LOCAL Owner-Operator (CDL-A), HOME DAILY at HIGHWAYS & SKYWAYS TRANSPORTATION LLC – GASTONIA, North Carolina

Position Description:
Highways & Skyways Transportation, a regional carrier based in Gastonia NC has immediate openings available for experienced owner operators. We are looking for owner-operators within about 50 miles of Charlotte.

Owner-Operators only, not company drivers.
Owner-Operators only, no Fleet owners.
Owner-Operator with a tractor(required)
Sleeper tractor is preferred

Job Description:
Positions are a combination of Local and Regional depending on work load at the time, normal week would be 3 days local, and 1 overnight trip. When doing local drivers will go home each night. Drivers must be willing to handle overnight trips to Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and Kentucky as needed to take care of customers.

Highways & Skyways furnishes 53' dry van trailers. Loads are no touch, combination of live load/ and drop/hook loads.

You need to have a well maintained sleeper tractor that can pass DOT every 6 months.

Compensation:
Drivers/Trucks will be paid 76% of revenue. We pay every week, settlements currently are running $1800 to $4200 after all deductions including fuel. Average is about $2600.

1099, no W2

Qualifications:
Drivers must have at least 2 years tractor trailer experience.
Good/steady work history.
No More than 2 Violations in last 3 years.
No DOT reportable accidents or major violations in last 3 years
No Failed or refused drug test for last 10 years
No DUI or felony for last 10 years
Owner operators only, no Fleet owners.
