Senior Business Development Specialist - REMOTE

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Business Development Specialist - REMOTE. This role is critical in driving growth and ensuring that small businesses succeed in the government contracting space. You'll be at the forefront of identifying and pursuing government contracts while providing strategic consulting to disadvantaged businesses. Your expertise will help shape the future of these businesses, allowing them to improve their operations and secure essential funding and contracts. Accountabilities
  • Consult with DBEs on estimating and bidding processes, including job costing and material review.
  • Analyze blueprints and construction documents for accurate bid submissions.
  • Manage bid submission processes including negotiations and award handling.
  • Review and improve DBEs' business management and financial accounting practices.
  • Assist businesses with bonding requirements and securing financial assistance.
  • Help businesses refine their business plans and marketing strategies.
  • Conduct market research to identify government contracting opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue potential government contracting opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and government agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in government contracting processes including estimating and bidding.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in business development focusing on government contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of SBA programs and federal procurement regulations.
  • Strong independent working ability and multi-priority management in remote settings.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and business development tools.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret blueprints and financial statements.
