About This Position

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Current Opening

Mount Aloysius College, repeatedly recognized by ModernThink as a “Great College to Work For,” invites applications for a regular, full-time Licensed Professional Counselor to provide in-person, onsite counseling for undergraduate students immediately/during the current Spring 2026 semester and beyond. This is a regular, full-time, 10-month position, with 20 additional workdays required during the summer months.

The Counselor will support student success and wellbeing through individual and group counseling sessions that address a wide array of social, emotional, and vocational concerns as well as clinical diagnoses. Our Counselors are trusted, knowledgeable professionals who work as part of a collaborative team in the Student Health & Wellness Center, and the broader Student Affairs division. Counselors provide mental health prevention and awareness programming and training.

Since the heaviest workload occurs during the academic year (August - May), summers bring a time of respite and rejuvenation for our Counselors. To ensure department coverage between semesters, our Counselors are required to fulfill 20 working days during the summer months, outside of the academic year.
