Responsibilities

About the Role

Complete Building Services (CBS) is in search of a HVAC Mechanic to support our large government facility contract in Washington, DC.

The HVAC Mechanic will oversee the facility's HVAC systems and equipment to ensure proper operations and preventative maintenance of components and equipment. The HVAC Mechanic shall also be responsible for the technical expertise of HVAC systems.

The HVAC Mechanic shall have the ability to:

  • Install, assemble, troubleshoot, modify, repair, and maintain HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshoots, service, and repairs package units, air handling units (AHUs), heat pumps, and variable air volume (VAV) systems including associated controls and components.
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC system problems as assigned
  • Maintain HVAC equipment in sound operating condition
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as directed
  • Salary $40-$45 per hour depending on experience.



    Qualifications

    You Should Have

    • Must possess a DC 3rd Class Engineer license
  • Must possess minimum of five (5) years commercial/industrial HVAC experience
  • Must possess an ability to identify common causes of HVAC failures
  • Must possess an ability to coordinate effective PM scheduling
  • Must possess an ability to establish routine testing procedures
  • Must possess an ability to apply PM strategies and techniques
  • A demonstrated working knowledge of HVAC systems and an ability to understand and utilize MEP drawings is required
