About Department 422 - Integrated Logistics Support
Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) plans and directs the identification and development of logistics support and system requirements with the goal of creating systems that last longer and require less support, reducing life cycle cost and supporting systems that are operable, supportable, safe and environmentally sound. The D422 Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) organization supports all non-nuclear Electric Boat submarine programs. The six (6) discipline groups that comprise this department include: Software Safety, System Safety, Reliability Availability and Maintainability (RAM), Stowage, Obsolescence and Ship Specifications.
Role Overview
This position is for the Ship Specification group working in a design-build sustainment environment. This individual will work with multiple disciplines including cost engineering, contracts, and program offices for the configuration maintenance of the Ship Specifications. This individual will also interface with customer (NAVSEA) representatives as required. The individual will be responsible for ensuring the Ship Specifications and their associated Design and Construction contracts are aligned with the growing SSNX program.
Key Responsibilities
- Additional responsibilities will include reviewing contract modifications, developing attachments for new contracts in relation to the Ship Specifications
- Develop and manage work through JIRA
- Track and manage weekly Earned Value Management System information against the SSNX configuration management process
- Track and manage ARTEMIS schedules tied to assigned tasking, and support and maintain sensitive networks necessary to develop SCPs and ensure proper communication can be establish with the customer.
- Major Focus on current and future SSN(X) design and construction contracts.
- Support future Block and Build Contract development for Ship Specifications.
- Understanding of the Technical Baseline in each contract.
- Develop and Manage the groups SSNX work through JIRA.
- Review, Track, and develop Budgeting for current and future SSNX tasks.
- Perform weekly Schedule updates related to SSNX development tasks.
- Track and manage requirement development progress and future configuration management tied to ARTEMIS and provide weekly statuses.
- Track and manage Commitments tied to work.
- Support and Maintain Classified networks and Computers, including Classified connections with NAVSEA to ensure proper communication is established, in support of Ship Specification developments.
The ideal candidate will have a desire to work with submarine design and construction contractual requirements.

Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 or more years work experience in configuration management of projects (schedules, funding, manning).
- Experience working with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance through the Department of Defense (DOD).
Preferred
- Experience with CAMEO and IBM DOORs software
- Experience in submarine design and construction.
- Experience with JIRA software.
- Previous experience communicating with NAVSEA.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
