Maintenance Technician - Saratoga Springs, NY at Green Mountain Electric Supply – Saratoga Springs, New York

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities, contributing to a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for staff, customers and visitors alike. Schedule: Full-Time Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm with 30-minute lunch unpaid (occasional weekends as needed)

Location: Saratoga Springs, NY (occasional travel to branches in Eastern NY)

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.

- Conduct inspections to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.

- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work orders.

- Assist with setup and breakdown for events or special projects as needed.

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities.

- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations.

- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, handyman, or in a similar role.

- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve a variety of maintenance issues efficiently.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
