Driver (Side Load CDL) RT 2503 - Somerset, KY at CAMBELLSVILLE CBG – Campbellsville, Kentucky

Summary/Objective

The Side Load CDL Driver role is responsible for delivering smaller loads of products to our local store locations and merchandising the product within the store location. This route requires fingerprinting of the freight.

Primary Responsibilities

Servicing:

• Manage, arrange, rotate, stock and merchandise product and product-related POS (Point of Sale) materials within licensed retail outlets.
• Unload and deliver product.
• Create, develop and maintain goodwill in every account.
• Honor all business and personal commitments with your customers.
• Reset stores according to plan.
• Run delivery route and/or assist route driver.

Merchandising and Quality Assurance:

1. Rotate, stock and merchandise product at every retail account.
2. Build, merchandise and maintain all displays with proper POS (Point of Sale).
3. Merchandise and stock all coolers, backrooms, retail floor areas and cold or warm shelves to effectively sell company products.
4. Rotate products and adhere to company “Quality Assurance Policy” guidelines and “Move Product Policy” in all accounts.

Related Duties:

1. Communicate with sales personnel to accomplish account strategies, programs and commitments.
2. Maintain adequate POS (Point of Sale) materials in your vehicle at all times.
3. Maintain a neat and professional appearance, abiding by company policy.
4. Drive your vehicle safely and with courtesy, obeying all laws, DOT requirements and company policies.
5. Report vehicle damage and required maintenance to management.
6. Keep vehicle neat and clean at all times.
7. Report competitive activities to your supervisor.
8. Attend meetings as required.
9. Obey company policies and company safety policies.
10. Perform other related duties as instructed by management.

Education and Experience

• Valid Class B Driver’s License required
• DOT med card required

Additional Qualifications and Competencies

• Self-motivated to be safe and effective on the job, including compliance with all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Desire to work in an individual atmosphere for a large percentage of the worktime.
• Customer focused mentality and strong desire to meet retailer needs through on time product delivery.
• Meet the following insurance and alcohol board criteria (required):
• Aged 21 years or older
• Verifiable CDL driving experience
• No felonies within the past five years
• No alcohol or controlled substance related offenses within the past two years
• No theft within the past two years
• No more than one reckless driving charge within the past three years

Work Environment

This position requires exposure to all seasonal weather conditions, traffic noise, automotive fumes and cramped quarters. This job also operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Dependent upon route, employee may be required frequently to lift and move up to 160 pounds. This will be communicated in advance if required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel

No anticipated overnight travel. Daily local travel is expected.
