About This Position
Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Millwrights to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various fabrication techniques and be comfortable working on construction sites. This role involves using hand tools and machinery to build and assemble components, ensuring quality and precision in every project.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools and machinery, including rigs, cranes, and plasma cutters, to fabricate metal components.
- Perform pipe threading and soldering tasks to create durable connections.
- Work with sheet metal to construct parts according to specifications.
- Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy in dimensions and tolerances.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Troubleshoot fabrication issues as they arise, implementing effective solutions.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and machinery relevant to fabrication processes.
- Experience with construction site environments, demonstrating the ability to work safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of pipe threading techniques and soldering methods.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication practices.
- Ability to operate plasma cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all tasks performed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, capable of addressing challenges in the fabrication process.
- Basic millwright skills include installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment. Using specialized tools, such as welders or hydraulic bolters, they align and replace a machine's individual parts.
