Summary
We are moving away from traditional "volume-based" appointment setting. We are looking for a senior-level outbound strategist to take full ownership of our top-of-funnel engine. You won't just be making calls; you will be the architect of our outreach.
Your goal is to define our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), build targeted account lists, and initiate high-level, two-way conversations with C-level stakeholders and founders. You will be responsible for validating leads via BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) before they ever reach a closing meeting.
What you’ll be doing:
- Strategic Mapping: Define and refine ICP segments and develop a deep understanding of different industry verticals.
- List Architecture: Build and test targeted account lists from scratch, ensuring zero overlap with the junior outbound team.
- Messaging Iteration: Develop, test, and pivot messaging frameworks by vertical. You are expected to find "what works" through data-driven experimentation.
- High-Level Engagement: Generate true two-way dialogue with Founders, Operators, and C-Suite leaders—not just "pitching," but consultative selling.
- Rigorous Qualification: Properly validate prospects using the BANT framework to ensure high-quality handovers and zero "pricing shock" for the leadership team.
- Process Ownership: Operate independently with minimal handholding, structuring your own day to balance research, strategy, and execution.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of proven B2B outbound experience.
- Background: You have experience selling services, not just SaaS. You understand how to sell intangible value.
- Skillset: Exceptional written English and the ability to articulate complex value propositions.
- Mindset: You are a "builder" who can create a pipeline from a blank slate and think critically about why a campaign is or isn't working.
- Independence: You thrive with autonomy and prefer being measured on outcomes (qualified opportunities) rather than just input (volume of dials).
90-Day Success Roadmap
- Month 1 (Validation): Deep-dive into ICP refinement, messaging frameworks developed, and early leading indicators (reply rates/live conversations).
- Month 2 (Traction): 6–8 meetings generated with at least 2–3 strong BANT-qualified leads. Clear data on which segments are winning.
- Month 3 (Consistency): 8–12 meetings, 3–5 BANT leads, and at least 1 opportunity advancing toward a formal proposal.
