JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic
- Sourcing & Negotiation
- Develop and implement effective strategies for sourcing direct materials globally and regionally, negotiating contracts with vendors to secure optimal pricing and terms
- Market Analysis:
- Continuously monitor market trends, raw material prices, and potential risks to make informed purchasing decisions and forecasts.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and continuous supply of materials.
- Cost Management & Productivity:
- Conduct cost analysis, perform cost modeling, and monitor productivity initiatives to achieve cost-effective procurement and meet budgeted objectives.
- Risk Assessment:
- Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, such as supply disruptions or price volatility, to ensure business continuity.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with internal teams (Purchasing, production, Project teams and finance) to understand material requirements and communicate forecasts and delivery schedules.

- Analytical & Strategic Skills:
- The ability to analyze complex data, develop long-term strategies, and perform cost modeling is crucial.
- Negotiation Skills:
- Proven ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of the commodity market, supply chain principles and legal aspects of procurement.
Qualifications for Commodity Leader:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
