In this position, you will:

• Design, plan, and implement core backend features that support scalable SaaS applications and complex data workflows.
• Build, optimize, and maintain APIs, databases, and data processing pipelines to ensure performance, reliability, and accuracy.
• Translate complex organizational and engineering data into maintainable models that capture real-world workflows.
• Rapidly deliver value to customers through automated CI/CD pipelines in a cloud-hosted environment.
• Collaborate across teams to provide technical and product expertise, communicate progress, and troubleshoot issues.
• Support production operations, ensuring high availability, monitoring, and incident resolution.

Candidates should bring:

• 10+ years of experience building SaaS products, with a strong focus on backend development.
• Expertise in Python and experience building production systems using Django.
• Advanced skills in relational data modeling and familiarity with columnar or alternative database technologies.
• Experience with scaling, performance tuning, and benchmarking APIs and data processing systems.
• Comfort using modern developer tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, and Kiro to accelerate development.
• Exposure to growth-stage startup environments and ability to operate effectively in fast-moving contexts.
