ROLE SUMMARY: This is an entry-level position that is responsible for the presentation of consignment items, which includes sorting, imaging, cleaning, labeling, data entry, and some heavy lifting.
LOCATION: Heritage Auctions New York, 445 Park Ave, New York, NY, 10022
COMPENSATION: $18-20/hr (Compensated based on experience.)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pre-auction tasks
- Enter item information into the computer system accurately
- Ensure all items are imaged promptly
- Prepare (sort, clean, and label) items for auction
- Must be comfortable with day-to-day heavy lifting
- Post-auction tasks
- Prepare orders for shipping in compliance with established procedures
- Ship orders immediately after auctions.
- Process and forward items remaining onsite until payments are received
- Inform supervisors of any discrepancies or issues
- Other duties may be assigned
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Outlook and Excel
- Ability to multitask and pay great attention to detail
- Individuals must be comfortable lifting to 50 pounds
