Press Brake Operator at JIT Manufacturing INC – Cowpens, South Carolina

JIT Manufacturing, a precision metal fabricator known for our commitment to quality and innovation, is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our team. As a Press Brake Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process. You will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, fold, and shape various sheet metal components.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year press brake experience, preferably with Amada Press Brakes. Knowledge of set-ups and programming is a strong plus, but willing to train the right candidate. Must have a strong attention to detail, be safety-conscious, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Select and install the appropriate tooling for each job.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, making necessary adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
• Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
