About This Position
Quality Electrical Systems is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager with a background in electrical or sheet metal manufacturing (preferred) to support the planning and execution of manufacturing projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational and communication skills, looking to grow into a full project management position over time.
You’ll assist in creating project plans, tracking timelines, managing budgets, and coordinating with teams across engineering, vendors, and shop floor operations to ensure successful project delivery. Candidates with experience in commercial or high-end construction project management are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing and executing strategic
project plans aligned with company goals.
• Oversee the creation of project documentation
including scope, timelines, budgets, and
forecasts.
• Monitor project progress and budget
performance to identify risks or cost overruns;
recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders,
and executives through progress reports and
performance updates.
• Support and coordinate with vendors, engineers,
and shop floor personnel to ensure timely and
high-quality project execution.
• Ensure all projects are compliant with applicable
regulations and standards.
• Collaborate on training and supporting project
team members as assigned.
• Maintain a strong focus on continuous
improvement and process efficiency.

Education and Experience
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical
Engineering, Construction Management, Project
Management, or related field (preferred but
not required with relevant experience).
• 2–4 years of experience in electrical, sheet metal,
or commercial/high-end construction project
coordination or management.
• Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication
environment is highly valued.

Strong understanding of project scheduling,
cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficient with project management tools
(e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics,
and technical drawings.

skills.
• Proven ability to build effective working
relationships with internal teams,
clients, and external vendors.
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on

job sites or vendor locations.
• Self-starter with leadership potential and a
willingness to take initiative.
• Interest in growing into a full Project Manager
