About This Position
To support the 21 Air CASS program by performing detailed data analysis, monitoring aircraft system trends, assisting in root cause investigations, and improving maintaining performance (OTP) indicators to ensure airworthiness, reliability, and compliance. Additionally, this position will directly support 21 Air’s on-time performance by enabling quicker identification and resolution of recurring discrepancies and reliability issues. Through enhanced data visibility, the role will also aid in reducing maintenance operational costs by identifying inefficiencies, tracking premature removals, and supporting data-driven decision-making for component management and scheduling.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Retrieve and validate deferred maintenance reports, MEL/CDL data, and discrepancy entries.
- Monitor aircraft discrepancies from line stations and generate summary reports.
- Track repetitive write-ups and deferred maintenance trends.
- Assist in monitoring items coded under reliability watch indicators.
- Compile weekly summary reports of component removals and replacements.
- Analyze aircraft delays and cancellation data related to mechanical causes.
- Review completed corrective actions from previously identified discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Planning and MCC for trend verification.
- Update reliability tracking sheets for systems flagged under surveillance.
- Compare operational data with historical records for reliability trends.
- Participate in pre-CASS review meetings with Quality and Engineering teams.
- Assist with preparation of the Monthly CASS Report for submission to FAA.
- Support the AWO (All Weather Operations) reporting process.
- Analyze time-on-wing vs. MTBUR (Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removals) for key components.
- Perform data validation across systems including Silver Wings.
- Participate in internal audits and support external audits with data validation.
- Assist in the investigation of significant events or incidents flagged by Quality.
- Maintain internal dashboards and metrics for management review.
- Support CASS Manager in strategic data analysis presentations and FAA interactions.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the CASS Manager.
Requirements:- Knowledge of FAA Part 121 requirements and CASS program standards.
- Strong analytical background with proficiency in Excel, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with maintenance software systems such as Silver Wings, CAMP.
- Ability to interpret maintenance records, technical data, and reliability reports.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to data monitoring.
