What You Will Do
  • The Assistant Registrar for Academic Scheduling and Curriculum Management provides strategic leadership and functional oversight of the University's academic scheduling, curriculum management, and degree audit systems in support of student progression, enrollment optimization, and institutional compliance.
  • This position serves as the functional administrator for Degree Works and CourseDog and provides oversight of related Banner curriculum and scheduling structures. The Assistant Registrar ensures the integrity, accuracy, and alignment of curriculum data, degree requirements, and class schedule production across systems that support the full student academic lifecycle.
  • The position supervises the Academic Scheduling function and collaborates closely with academic colleges, the Provost's Office, Enrollment Management, and ITS to implement approved curriculum changes, maintain the academic catalog, manage academic space utilization, and support data-informed scheduling strategies.
  • As a member of the Registrar's leadership team, this role provides policy guidance, system expertise, and operational direction to ensure that curriculum and scheduling practices align with University goals related to student retention, timely degree completion, and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree.
-A total of one (1) year (12 months) in education, training and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position. (Note: Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.)

AND

-Bachelor's degree in higher education administration, business administration, public administration, information systems, or a related field.
-1+ years of professional experience in Registrar Office or higher education administration, academic systems management, curriculum management, degree audit administration, or academic scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience with enterprise student information systems, preferably Banner, including curriculum structures, term and part-of-term configuration, and academic calendar setup. Experience serving as a functional administrator for academic systems such as Degree Works and/or CourseDog. Knowledge of curriculum approval processes, academic governance structures, catalog management, and their impact on student progression and regulatory compliance. Demonstrated analytical ability to interpret enrollment, scheduling, and student progression data to inform institutional decision-making. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex system functionality into operational guidance for faculty, administrators, and staff. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with academic leadership, Enrollment Management, and Information Technology Services in a shared systems governance environment.
