This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving strategy, analytics, and execution of large-scale direct mail marketing campaigns. You will lead a team of managers, analysts, and external partners to optimize targeting, creative, and channel performance, ensuring measurable growth across key products. The role combines strategic thinking with operational excellence, requiring the ability to oversee multiple workstreams while influencing senior stakeholders. You will leverage advanced analytics and marketing insights to continuously refine campaigns, improve efficiency, and innovate in an evolving consumer finance landscape. Collaboration with cross-functional teams—including Credit Risk, Data Science, and Finance—will be critical to success. Your work will directly influence acquisition, engagement, and conversion efforts, shaping the overall customer experience and driving business results.
As the Director, you will oversee the strategy and execution of the Direct Mail marketing channel, translating analytics into actionable business outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
Lead development and execution of a strategic direct mail marketing agenda for acquisition and engagement campaigns.
Manage end-to-end campaign operations, ensuring accurate and efficient execution across multiple teams and systems.
Drive testing strategies to optimize targeting, creative, and landing page performance.
Oversee cross-channel analysis to understand Direct Mail’s impact and interactions with other marketing channels.
Partner with Data Science to enhance targeting models and improve overall campaign efficiency.
Monitor and maintain campaign performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices to foster innovation in Direct Mail marketing.
Candidates should bring deep expertise in marketing analytics, direct mail strategy, and team leadership. Key qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) may offset experience requirements.
12+ years of experience driving data-informed marketing decisions; at least 7 years managing large-scale direct mail programs (5M+ mail pieces/month), preferably in consumer finance or lending.
7+ years of analytics leadership experience, with a track record of building and prioritizing teams and objectives.
Advanced proficiency in analytics tools and languages such as SQL, SAS, R, Python, and data visualization platforms like Power BI.
Strong analytical intuition, intellectual curiosity, and experience developing innovative, data-driven solutions.
Exceptional cross-functional communication and influencing skills, including presenting strategy to senior executives.
Experience in marketing analytics, particularly in direct mail, and familiarity with consumer finance or lending industry preferred.
Knowledge of bureau and non-bureau data utilization for prospect targeting is a plus.
