The Opportunity: You will act as a high-level strategic partner, leveraging your deep industry connections to shape the future of a rapidly growing mechanical firm. This role is designed for a "top dog" professional who is ready to move away from corporate bureaucracy and work directly with leadership to influence business direction. You will have the autonomy to manage multi-million-dollar project cycles while being recognized as a premier expert by General Contractors and Building Owners across the region.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Capitalize on your existing network of Southern California General Contractors and Building Owners to secure high-value mechanical contracts.
Drive the pursuit and closure of large-scale construction projects and/or recurring service maintenance agreements to expand market share.
Conduct comprehensive facility assessments and equipment reviews to develop customized, value-driven design-build recommendations.
Partner with internal Estimating and Operations teams to develop complex proposals that meet both technical requirements and profitability targets.
Negotiate sophisticated contract terms and project scopes to ensure long-term client retention and satisfaction.
Mentor junior sales representatives on business development strategies and technical proposal coordination to strengthen the collective team.
Collaborate directly with executive leadership to refine pricing models, sales processes, and annual growth objectives.
Collaborate with the Construction and/or Service teams during the execution phase and assist with customer relations as necessary.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
4+ years of proven success in commercial HVAC or mechanical contracting sales.
A robust and active book of business or network of industry contacts within the Southern California market.
Demonstrated track record of closing multi-million-dollar HVAC projects ($2M$10M+).
Deep technical understanding of mechanical systems, construction management, and preventative maintenance.
Valid Drivers License and the ability to travel to various client and job sites.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Experience in developing "bundled" solutions that combine construction installation with long-term service agreements.
Proficiency in using CRM platforms and digital estimating tools to track sales pipelines and project financials.
High School Diploma or GED required; advanced industry-specific training or certifications are a plus.
