JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Group AccountantExempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The Group Accountant plays a critical role in the financial operations of Connected Manufacturing, supporting a growing, global organization. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, leading month-end close activities, supporting group consolidation, and strengthening financial controls across multiple entities.
This is a hands-on role requiring both technical accounting expertise and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The Group Accountant will partner cross-functionally to provide financial insights, improve processes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
This position will report directly to the VP of Finance and/or CEO.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Support and enhance preparation of management accounts and internal financial reporting
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data

Group Accounting & Consolidation
  • Support group consolidation across multiple legal entities
  • Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations
  • Ensure consistency in accounting policies across entities
  • Assist in preparation of consolidated financial statements

Statutory & Audit Support
  • Support preparation of statutory accounts across jurisdictions
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and service providers
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory and reporting requirements
  • Maintain strong internal controls and documentation standards

Accounts Receivable & Billing Oversight
  • Oversee billing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor receivables and partner with stakeholders on collections
  • Review customer invoicing, credit notes, and cash application
  • Support cash inflow forecasting

Accounts Payable & Cash Management
  • Oversee vendor processes, payments, and reconciliations
  • Support cash flow management, including forecasting and reporting
  • Perform and review bank reconciliations
General Ledger & Tax
  • Maintain integrity of the general ledger across entities
  • Support preparation of VAT, sales tax, and other filings (for review)
  • Liaise with payroll providers and support payroll-related submissions
Operational & Cross-Functional Support
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and Delivery teams to support financial processes
  • Provide insights to support business decision-making
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed
Process Improvement & Systems
  • Identify and drive improvements in finance processes, controls, and reporting
  • Support finance system enhancements and data integrity initiatives
  • Participate in finance transformation and automation efforts
Inter-Company
  • Prepare inter-company invoices and debit notes
  • Reporting for inter-company payments

Accounts Payable (Invoice & Payments Processing)
  • Add vendor master records to accounting software
  • Create vendor invoices and credit notes
  • Post payments to vendors
  • Review and pass employee expenses for approval
  • Prepare payments list for employee reimbursable expenses payments
  • Reconcile vendor accounts to vendor statements
  • Prepare monthly list for payments
  • Prepare cash outflow forecast for creditors
  • Monthly Receivables Control reconciliation

Bank Accounts
  • Daily posting of receipts, payments and interbank transfers
  • Daily bank accounts reconciliations

General Ledger
• Prepare and post to general ledger
• Preparation of general reconciliation

Tax Returns (Preparation of returns for review)
  • Preparation of VAT and RTD return for Irish subsidiary
  • Sales Taxes (liaise with US Tax Accountant)
  • Prepare payroll submissions for payroll service provider

Liaise with Seabrook Group Companies
  • As required

Liaise with Third Party Service Providers (all Seabrook Group Companies)
  • Payroll

  • Employee Loans
  • Tax Returns

Technical
  • Accounting software, system maintenance
  • Accounting software, participate in continuous improvement projects

Other (as required)
  • Assist with preparation of accounts and posting to General Ledger
  • Assist with annual insurance renewal for Group
  • Accounting Software and Maintenance
  • Maintain Employee accounts in accounting software (new / departed employees)
  • Create and publish Financial Reports, as required
  • Ad hoc assignments
  • Other duties as described
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Familiar with financial-related regulatory requirements

Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial-relevant role, accounting or finance (industry or practice).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP exposure preferred).
  • Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial systems.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Oracle NetSuite (or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with a consulting services company business model
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS, technology, manufacturing, or professional services environment.
  • Progress toward or completion of a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
  • Experience in a hyper-growth, global organization.
  • Exposure to group consolidation, audits and statutory reporting.
  • Exposure to mergers / acquisitions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with International Finance and Accounting Standards
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or group accounting structures

EDUCATION
Diploma in Accounting (or equivalent) plus a minimum of five (5) years of related experience.

SALARY RANGE:
The salary range for this role is €54K to €77K, with final compensation determined based on experience, education, skills, and market data.
