Forklift Operator (2nd shift / 6:30pm-3:00am) at Flexi-Van Leasing LLC – Carson, California

Primary Objectives of Position

• Forklift operator safely relocates, stacks and unstacks intermodal chassis throughout the facility for MNR, safety, delivery and storage purposes.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Remove and replenish chassis from mechanic MNR area.
• Stack and clear trucker drop area for MNR chassis.
• Remove and replenish good order chassis in main yard.
• Invert and stack chassis for storage.
• Assist truckers with providing assigned contract chassis.
• Assist with facility-related maintenance as needed.
• Adhere to OSHA and company safety protocols.

Job Specifications & Requirements

• Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma
  • 1 years’ experience working with Intermodal Chassis.
  • Speak, read and write the English language adequately.
  • Bi-lingual language ability is a plus.
  • Mechanical skills are a plus.

Valid Forklift Certification/License

• Perform daily pre-shift inspections on equipment and report any malfunctions or safety considerations.
• Detail oriented and ability to work in fast paced environment.
• A willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness and ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
• Join the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers (IAM) union.
