Job Description

Microvast is seeking a highly capable and versatile professional to act as the operational backbone of the Legal Department. The position will manage contracts related work and serve as an administrator for the contract system, and handle a wide range of other operational responsibilities. This role will manage and oversee all insurance matters.

This individual will be responsible for supporting all day-to-day contractual execution and oversight, ensuring that all obligations are met as well as providing ad-hoc contracts support as needed. The candidate must be a strategic thinker, able to effectively coordinate with Microvast program, technical, and business management teams and have the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage legal intake, matter management, and workflow processes to increase efficiency.
  • Define track and report operational metrics, driving continuous improvement and process simplification.
  • Support on strategic projects, and other operational initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives, change management, and adoption of new systems, processes and technologies.
  • Serve as primary owner of all NDAs, including intake, review of redlines and escalations, as well as for amendments and contract notices.
  • Draft and negotiate inbound and outbound commercial agreements.
  • Ensure all agreements are properly named, versioned and archived.
  • Assist with maintenance and updating of templates and playbooks.
  • Serve as administrator for CLM system.
  • Conduct training for stakeholders.
  • Maintain repository integrity.
  • Develop reporting for stakeholders.
  • Manage the legal inbox and prioritize requests.
  • Build or refine intake processes.
  • Assist with policy development management.
  • Coordinate stakeholder approvals and signature processes.
  • Identify automation and workflow improvements.
  • Leading and optimizing the full contract lifecycle, driving precise and efficient execution of client contracts in compliance with company policies
  • Coordinating internal and external reviews and approvals to advance agreements to execution, tracking agreement status, outstanding items, and responses to support timely completion
  • Overseeing version control, draft circulations, and redlining throughout the contract negotiation process; identifying non-standard contractual terms and provisions and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date contract records within the internal contract management system, including monitoring expiration dates and keeping contracts current
  • Managing legal agreement templates and implementing efficient processes for contract review, approval, and execution under the guidance of general counsel.
  • Developing and maintaining training materials and resources related to internal contracting processes, providing annual training to internal stakeholders.
  • Track external legal counsel invoices, ensuring expenses are accurately allocated to the appropriate client or project.
  • Maintain contract files, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and up‑to‑date.
  • Track contract deliverables, milestones, and key dates, and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Process contract modifications, extensions, and closeouts in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with program, finance, legal, and supply‑chain partners to resolve contractual issues.
  • Prepare and distribute routine contract reports and correspondence for internal and external audiences.
  • Manage vendor relationships, e-billing, outside counsel spend, and budget oversight.
  • Handle all insurance matters and oversee renewals
  • Engage in process improvement across departments.
  • Supporting on other duties and tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education; Multiple years of professional experience
  • Can operate independently, utilize online collaboration tools, and serve as a proxy for the Legal Department.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, lean environment.
  • Strong communicator across various business teams.
  • Ability to hold their own and state their case to seasoned executives and driven sales and other business teams.
  • Tech‑savvy with an interest in continuing to improve legal processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Experience in a high-volume, multi-tasking work environment required
  • Analytical skills for evaluating compensation and benefits data.
  • Business and manufacturing knowledge preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Very good comprehension and analytical thinking skills
  • Careful and conscientious, structured and organized way of working

Annual salary + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
