Mission

The Staff Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations and assists with month-end close activities. This role focuses on accuracy, reconciliations, and general ledger support while working closely with senior accounting leadership. The Staff Accountant is an individual contributor role with opportunity for growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post routine journal entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies
• Support general ledger maintenance and financial reporting
• Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets as assigned
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes as needed
• Maintain accurate accounting documentation and records
• Assist with audit preparation and information requests
• Follow internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures

• Primarily performed in an office environment
• Mostly seated for extended periods with occasional standing or movement
• Frequent use of computers, keyboards, calculators, and office equipment
• Repetitive hand and finger movements related to typing and data entry
• Ability to review financial reports and computer screens for extended periods
• Occasional lifting of files or office materials (generally up to 15 pounds

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• 1–3 years of general accounting experience preferred
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and basic accounting principles
• Experience supporting month-end close activities preferred
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational and communication skills
