Position SummaryThe Traffic Helper is an entry-level position responsible for supporting traffic control operations at construction and roadway job sites under the direct supervision of a Traffic Control Technician.
Applicants will be considered based on the below groups:
GROUP I All applicants for employment who have one or more years' experience in the trade.
GROUP II All applicants for employment who have experience in the trade.
GROUP III All other applicants for employment.
Job Location(s):
- Sacramento, CA and surrounding areas
- Stockton, CA and surrounding areas
- Oakhurst/Mariposa, CA and surrounding areas
- Fresno, CA and surrounding areas
- Kern County
- Hold a "Closed Road" point, with no directing / delineating of traffic.
- Move cones, signage, arrow boards or other similar items, under the supervision of a Traffic Control Technician.
- Drive traffic control equipment to and from a jobsite location.
- Perform duties in the contractor headquarters, including moving equipment, organizing, inventory, etc.
- Caltrans Certified Flagger certification
Experience Requirements- Entry-level: No experience required to one (1) or more years of trade experience

Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentEmployees must be able to stand for extended periods, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift and move traffic control equipment, and remain alert while working around moving vehicles and heavy equipment.
