Chimney Technician in Glen Burnie, Maryland at ChimneyTEK

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Chimney & Fireplace Installation / Repair Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of chimney systems and fireplace units in residential and light commercial settings. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and a customer-first mindset.

• Prefer 2+ years of experience in chimney, fireplace, masonry, roofing, or related trades preferred
• Knowledge of chimney systems, venting, and fireplace installation practices
• Familiarity with building codes and fire safety standards (NFPA 211 knowledge a plus)
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks

• CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) Certification
• NFI (National Fireplace Institute) Certification
• OSHA safety training
