About This Position
Nurse Tech - Brownwood

JOB SUMMARY |
- The Nurse Tech position provides nursing students an opportunity to assist licensed nursing personnel in the implementation of day-to-day patient care as well as the routine operations of the nursing unit which assigned. The Nurse Tech provides care to the patients appropriate to the assigned unit.

JOB REQUIREMENTS |
- Minimum Education
- High school or equivalent
- Completion of first semester of nursing school and in good standing with a nursing program
- Minimum Work Experience
- No previous work experience
- Required Licenses/Certifications
- CPR-BCLS
- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- A Nurse Technician must be a nursing student currently enrolled in and in good standing with nursing program. Nurse Technicians are required to work 48 hours per month.
- Nurse Techs may continue to work in position after graduation of nursing school until they take their NCLEX. This will be reevaluated based on need by unit leadership.
- Nurse Techs may remain in the Nurse Tech role if they are unsuccessful passing the NCLEX on their first attempt. After a second unsuccessful attempt, the Nurse Tech position would be terminated.

- Maintain professional appearance at all times.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
