Accountabilities:- Develop and implement integrated communications plans for technology products, research initiatives, and innovation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Translate complex scientific, technical, and data-driven content into clear, engaging narratives for diverse audiences.
- Create high-quality content across web, multimedia, data visualizations, infographics, and digital storytelling formats.
- Lead communications for major publications, technical releases, and platform updates, positioning the organization as a leader in transparency and innovation.
- Collaborate with research, product, and multimedia teams to identify communications opportunities and produce impactful materials.
- Support media outreach by crafting compelling stories, briefing materials, and spokesperson guidance.
- Manage newsletters, public outreach materials, and other communications deliverables to ensure clarity, accuracy, and audience engagement.
- Contribute to broader communications strategy, supporting cohesion and alignment across science, technology, and impact storytelling efforts.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, Science Communication, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of communications experience, preferably in science, technology, or innovation-driven environments.
- Exceptional writing, editorial, and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex concepts accessible to multiple audiences.
- Experience creating visual content, including data visualizations, infographics, and video.
- Proven ability to collaborate with scientific, technical, or product teams in a remote or globally distributed environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Flexibility to collaborate across global time zones; fluency or high proficiency in English.
- Preferred: proficiency in additional languages (Spanish, French), experience in digital storytelling and data visualization, familiarity with science/technology policy contexts, and proficiency with content management systems like Notion or WordPress.
