This role provides the opportunity to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple utility transmission and distribution projects. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The position offers a hands-on role in project lifecycle management, including scheduling, reporting, risk control, and client communications. You will mentor team members, support performance tracking, and develop solutions to optimize project outcomes. This role emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and effective communication while contributing to critical grid infrastructure projects with measurable impact.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the execution of multiple transmission and distribution projects, overseeing all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction
  • Manage and mentor multidisciplinary project teams, fostering accountability and professional development
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with client functional leads and stakeholders
  • Oversee risk identification, tracking, and control throughout project construction and start-up phases
  • Ensure timely reporting of key performance indicators and provide clear, concise project documentation
  • Analyze project issues and develop actionable solutions to improve outcomes and efficiency
  • Manage contract administration, resource allocation, and change control processes
Requirements:
  • BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program or a management/business degree
  • 10+ years of experience in the electric utility industry, including engineering, construction, or planning
  • 7+ years of experience specifically managing utility transmission projects
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Collaborative team player with problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Valued but not required: engineering design experience, PMP certification, and construction/start-up experience
