This enterprise leadership role is responsible for shaping and delivering next-generation incentive compensation strategies across U.S. customer-facing organizations. The Executive Director will transform incentive compensation into a strategically aligned capability that drives the right behaviors, reinforces commercial priorities, and builds trust across the field. This role combines visionary strategy with operational rigor, overseeing governance, frameworks, and processes while leading a high-performing team. Candidates will partner closely with senior leaders across Sales, Finance, P&O, Legal, Compliance, and Technology, ensuring incentive programs are fair, scalable, and impactful. This position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide performance outcomes, modernize tools and processes, and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Serve as the enterprise architect for incentive compensation, defining strategies that align performance measurement and rewards with organizational goals.
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous evolution of incentive frameworks across customer-facing teams.
- Own enterprise governance, decision rights, documentation standards, change management, and escalation pathways.
- Provide executive oversight of end-to-end incentive compensation delivery, ensuring accurate, timely, and trusted reporting and payouts.
- Drive operational excellence through collaboration with Sales Operations, Analytics, Finance, Data Enablement, and Technology teams.
- Modernize incentive compensation tools and processes to increase transparency, reduce manual effort, and improve speed and insight.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of analytics experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically dispersed sales teams.
- 6+ years of experience in incentive compensation leadership roles with proven success delivering enterprise-scale strategy, design, and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior commercial, finance, and functional leaders to influence strategy and achieve meaningful outcomes.
- Experience leading teams through transformation, modernization, and operating model evolution.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and cross-functional leadership skills with comfort managing complex initiatives and budgets.
- Executive presence, systems thinking, and ability to navigate ambiguity while creating clarity and alignment.
- Ability to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent and build high-performing, engaged teams.
- Desirable: expertise in incentive compensation governance, compliance, operational risk, and technology modernization.
