Under the general supervision of the Water System Manager, Deputy Commissioner, or as assigned, inspects work on the City's water system being completed by private contractors. Writes reports, maintains accurate, daily, monthly and annual records and develops as-built record plans of work completed on the water system. Reads and interprets water system plans and locates/marks out water system infrastructure (e.g., water mains, valves, service lines, etc.) as needed. Available to respond to water emergencies outside of regular working hours as needed. Employee must work independently observing and inspecting water system improvements on a daily basis. Employee must have strong oral and written communication skills. Must have proven ability to work closely with groups of people in a team environment.
