Job Description
The Staff RN directs, supervises, plans, staffs, coordinates, and controls function of the Surgery Center, under the direction of the OR Coordinator and/or the Director. Provides professional nursing care to an assigned patient population. Plans and directs all in accordance with the Surgery Center policies and procedures.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Residency or Fellowship programs may apply depending on department and experience.
Current US state RN license with authorization to practice in the state of GA. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS and AHA/ARC PALs certifications or obtained within nine (9) months of date of hire. Must obtain and maintain required ortho education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Joint Destination Center of Excellence Policy.
Must be able to utilize diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment. Must be able to utilize personal protective equipment such as gloves, gown, mask, etc. Must be able to utilize standard office equipment. Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Midas, etc.). Proficiency in Intranet/Internet use. Excellent patient care skills. Excellent oral/written communication skills. Skilled in conflict resolution, critical thinking, task management and appropriate prioritization/delegation.
Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background and drug screens.
