Join us!Snorkel Guide – Job DescriptionPosition Summary: The Snorkel Guide is responsible for leading safe, engaging, and educational snorkel tours for guests of all experience levels. This role includes providing pre-tour briefings, supervising guests in the water, ensuring safety at all times, and sharing information about marine life and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead snorkel tours, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants.
• Conduct pre-tour safety briefings, including equipment use, water safety, and marine conservation guidelines.
• Assist guests with properly fitting and using snorkel gear.
• Observe and monitor guests while in the water, providing assistance as needed.
• Share knowledge about local marine life and ecosystems to enhance the guest experience.
• Ensure all equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored properly after each tour.
• Respond quickly and effectively in case of emergencies, following company safety protocols.
• Promote and model environmentally responsible snorkeling practices.
• Assist with guest check-in and equipment distribution as needed.
• Report any safety concerns, incidents, or equipment issues to management promptly.

Qualifications:

• Strong swimming skills and comfort in open water environments.
• Prior experience as a snorkel guide, lifeguard, dive master, or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of local marine life and a passion for marine conservation.
• CPR, First Aid, and lifeguard certifications (or willingness to obtain before starting).
• Ability to instruct and supervise groups of various ages and skill levels.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Physically able to lift and carry equipment, assist guests in and out of the water, and perform rescues if necessary.

Working Conditions:

• Outdoor, physically active work in variable weather and ocean conditions.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours depending on tour schedules.
• May require extended periods in the water and standing for long periods.
