Pay Range: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Summary: The Director of Nursing Professional Practice demonstrates effective leadership skills; maintains clinical/management skills; and keeps abreast of current issues/trends, based on the current healthcare environment. They are responsible for evaluating nursing care and developing programs, policies and processes that support safe and effective high-quality nursing care, in collaboration with their nurse leader colleagues. In addition, they serve as a role model, mentor, and change agent for nursing professionals and other healthcare providers,
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing Required
- Licensed RN in NJ; or Approved Compact License Required
- Masters Degree in Nursing Required
- Minimum three (3) years acute nursing experience with demonstrated leadership ability Required

Job Functions:
- Monitors and analyzes nursing-sensitive and other applicable quality indicators against internal and external local, regional, and national benchmarks.
- Ensures staff participation in nursing practice improvement activities and identifies issues/trends with respect to quality patient occurrences and patient care outcomes.
- Assists with the development of action plans to improve quality outcomes.
- Serves as a mentor and provides direct education to staff and other colleagues.
- Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of hospital policies, procedures and projects that enhance nursing excellence and professional development.
- Ensures that current research findings are incorporated into clinical practice and care delivery.
- Reviews, analyzes, updates and implements action plans to improve patient care and satisfaction, in collaboration with the Quality Department, as applicable.
- Submits reports and statistics as required, and devises, supervises and/or participates in implementing planned changes to improve patient care.
- Serves as Magent Advisor.
