Who are we looking for?

Wilson Farm, Lexington, MA is hiring a full-time Meat Cutter to join our busy meat department to prepare meat and poultry for retail sale. This position starts at $24/hour.

Responsibilities:

· Cut/wrap/label/price appropriate meats and handle special customer orders as needed

· Maintain and rotate production meat case several times each day; maintain and rotate retail meat display case inventory several times each day – both to ensure highest freshness and quality

· Responsible for the daily prep and daily cleanup of meat cases, equipment, tools and work area, including setting up for next day’s activity

· Responsible for placing vendor orders according to needs and anticipated needs, especially around the holidays

Experience/Qualifications:

· 3-5 years prior meat cutting experience required

· Working knowledge of grinders, meat wrapper, various cutting implements, scales

· Candidates must be hard working, self-motivated, reliable and able to adhere to set work schedule

· Candidates must be able to work with a diverse team of people

· Compliance knowledge: Safety, health and sanitation

· Serve Safe Certification

· HACCP Plan experience

Work Schedule

· Full-time (45-50 hours/week), in-person work at Lexington location

· Will be a mix of weekdays, weekend, and holiday days

· Holiday periods may require more hours and flexibility in schedule to meet business needs

Physical requirements:

· Working in cold room and cooler for long periods

· Standing for prolonged periods of time; bending, reaching

· Must be able to lift approximately 40+lb containers of product
