Make an Impact in Healthcare Marketing

Western Health Advantage is seeking a Marketing Technology Specialist to support the digital tools and platforms that power our marketing communications. This role is ideal for a marketing professional who enjoys working with technology, optimizing digital campaigns, and using data to improve engagement.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Technology Specialist will help execute email and SMS campaigns, maintain website content, and support the marketing technology platforms that enable Western Health Advantage to communicate effectively with members, partners, and the community.

This hybrid position based in Sacramento, California offers the opportunity to collaborate with a mission-driven team while supporting digital initiatives that enhance the experience of our members and partners.

What You’ll DoExecute Digital Marketing Campaigns
  • Build, test, and deploy email and SMS campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or similar platforms.

  • Create and manage audience segments to support targeted communications.

  • Support automated and lifecycle campaigns.

  • Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure campaign accuracy, personalization, and deliverability.

  • Monitor campaign performance and provide reporting insights to improve engagement.

Manage Website Content
  • Maintain and update website content using Sitecore CMS.

  • Update landing pages and campaign content as needed.

  • Ensure content accuracy, brand consistency, and proper tagging.

  • Support SEO best practices to improve visibility and performance.

Support Marketing Technology & Operations
  • Support the administration and optimization of the marketing technology stack.

  • Monitor campaign performance and maintain reporting dashboards.

  • Troubleshoot platform issues and escalate when necessary.

  • Maintain the email marketing calendar and support campaign scheduling.

  • Document processes and assist with onboarding team members to marketing tools.

  • Stay current on marketing technology trends and platform updates.

Collaborate Across the Organization
  • Support social and digital marketing initiatives.

  • Ensure all communications meet brand standards, audience needs, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Assist with marketing and operational platforms and contribute to special projects as needed.

What You BringEducation & Experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • 1–2 years of experience in marketing operations, digital marketing, marketing technology, or a related field.

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar marketing automation platforms preferred.

  • Experience building and deploying email marketing campaigns.

  • Familiarity with audience segmentation and data management principles.

  • Experience working in a content management system (CMS).

  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus.

  • Ability to quickly learn new platforms and technologies.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze marketing campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional team

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar marketing automation platforms preferred.

  • Experience building and deploying email marketing campaigns.

  • Familiarity with audience segmentation and data management principles.

  • Experience working in a content management system (CMS).

  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus.
