About This Position
The Master Scheduler is responsible for creating daily production master schedules and work tickets to support the overall needs and priorities of the customer. This includes working with the Location Manager to work through resource requirements, monitoring production status, and communication with clients on status updates on priority orders.
General Duties, and Responsibilities
· Pull in daily orders, process pick tickets, print labels, and implement master schedules that align with client priorities, company objectives, and production capabilities.
· Utilize the order dashboard to plan the daily orders that must be fulfilled and ensure we have trailer capacity for freight.
· Track daily metrics to report to Location Manager on order fluctuations.
· Collaborate with the Location and Operations Manager on priority orders and to forecast long- and short-term project needs.
· Identify potential schedule disruptions and develop a contingency plan.
· Monitor production status to ensure schedule adherence, and report discrepancies to management.
· Analyze requested client schedule changes to provide communication on the impact of changes to the current production schedule. Communicate and keep a record of
· responses and approved changes.
· Cancel orders in the system as requested and approved.
· Efficiently process and manage incoming warehouse orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in order fulfillment. Monitor projects to meet deadlines.
· Set up freight and logistics for outgoing daily shipments.
· Accurately close out orders by the end of the business day.
· Prioritize orders according to customer requests.
· Timely and well-thought-out communication to all customer service correspondence.
· Work with Supply Management to ensure all parts are ordered and delivered on time. When backordered material arrives work with operations to ensure open orders to be fulfilled in a timely manner.
· Notify Supply Management of any price change requests from our vendors, immediately to avoid any financial impacts to the business.
Requirements:Requirements
· High school diploma
· Associates or bachelor’s preferred
· At least 2 years’ experience in receiving, warehouse scheduling or production planning
· Knowledge of raw materials, forecasting, production processes, quality control, cost management.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
· Advanced experience and competence with MS Office Products including Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
· Experience with Sage 100 and X3 a plus
