About This Position
Spacecraft Descent Guidanace, Navigation, and Control Sensor Engineer
(2) Define and manage GNC sensor requirements based on system/subsystem requirements and GNC sensor models build based on the operating principles.
(3) Select and manage vendor collaboratively working with SCM (supply chain management) engineers.
(4) Integrate GNC sensors into the lander and design tests based on the operating principle model and failure mode analysis of them
(5) Develop and verify GNC sensors by integrating components and designing housing, planning and performing environmental testing (e.g. vibration, thermal, vacuum and radiation).
(6) Conduct field tests to verify the performance of landing GNC sensors (Doppler LiDAR, flash LiDAR, laser rangefinder, navigation camera), and feed the results back into the simulation model. Additionally, perform ground calibration of GNC sensors as necessary.
(7) Conduct and support system level testing with Hardware-in-the-loop simulation and FM environment from GNC sensor perspective.
(8) Participate in flight operation as a member of GNC teams. Develop in flight GNC sensor commissioning/calibration plan and support interface design with the ground system from GNC perspective as collaboratively working with the system and operation team.
(9) Support the vision-based navigation and hazard detection algorithm development and V&V activity from GNC sensor perspective (LiDAR and camera).

ispace is looking for Spacecraft Descent Guidanace, Navigation, and Control Sensor Engineer to join our growing team.
Design, develop and test the Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) subsystem of the lunar transfer vehicle as keeping the consistency with the overall spacecraft design. Especially be responsible for performing GNC sensor (doppler LiDAR, Flash LiDAR, laser rangefinders, navigation camera) development including requirements definition, selection, procurement, development, testing and operation, collaboratively working with systems, avionics and AIT (assembly, integration and test) engineers, as well as GNC engineers. Specifically, deeply understand the operating principles of the above sensors, build models, and then proceed with requirements definition and test design.
