This senior consulting and technical leadership role focuses on delivering end-to-end Salesforce solutions for manufacturing clients. The Principal Engineer / Salesforce Business Consultant will lead discovery, design, and implementation of Salesforce-based CRM transformations, translating complex business needs into scalable, integrated solutions. You will partner with client stakeholders to optimize sales, service, and partner processes, ensure adoption and governance, and provide thought leadership across CRM initiatives. This role blends solution architecture, hands-on design, and client advisory in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will guide cross-functional teams, contribute to pre-sales opportunities, and drive measurable business outcomes. The position offers a mix of strategic influence, technical ownership, and direct client engagement. Ideal candidates have deep Salesforce expertise, consulting experience, and a proven track record of successful enterprise implementations.
Accountabilities:- Lead discovery workshops with manufacturing clients to assess strategy, sales/service models, and CRM requirements.
- Define Salesforce-centric target states and transformation roadmaps, including phased rollout and process redesign.
- Design end-to-end Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and optionally Manufacturing Cloud, CPQ, Field Service, and Analytics.
- Develop solution blueprints, architecture designs, integration strategies, and ensure alignment with Salesforce best practices.
- Advise clients on CRM governance, change management, and adoption strategies, creating meaningful KPIs and dashboards.
- Lead pre-sales activities, including demos, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and business case development.
- Oversee delivery quality, provide design authority, review workstreams, and support UAT and go-live readiness.
Requirements:
- 812 years of professional experience, with 5+ years focused on Salesforce CRM (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud).
- 46 years consulting or client-facing experience with manufacturing organizations or similar industries.
- Proven track record leading full lifecycle Salesforce implementations from discovery through adoption.
- Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce architecture, data modeling, security, integration, and deployment strategies.
- Strong functional expertise across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud; familiarity with Manufacturing Cloud, Field Service, CPQ, Revenue Cloud, or Tableau CRM is a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and executive communication skills.
- Analytical, structured, and outcome-driven, with ability to navigate complex, ambiguous environments.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced business degree is a plus.
- Salesforce certifications preferred (Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Experience Cloud Consultant, Field Service, Manufacturing Cloud, CPQ, B2B Solution Architect).
