Position Summary

The Senior Satellite Electronics Field Support Technician will build, test, troubleshoot, and sustain satellite systems and associated RF/antenna hardware. This role owns the full lifecycle of field support activities—from creating maintenance plans and build procedures, to sourcing and procuring parts, to executing and documenting functional tests with electronic/RF test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Build and test satellite systems (integration, functional test, troubleshooting)
• Source and procure parts and related hardware equipment
• Read and write maintenance plans and build procedures
• Use electronic/RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, VNAs, oscilloscopes, etc.)
• Interpret schematics, block diagrams, and wiring drawings

• Coordinate small program-management tasks for spare part orders and hardware
• Collaborate with engineering and external service providers
• Engage with customers as a key point of contact to understand maintenance requirements, communicate technical progress, and ensure alignment throughout build, test, and delivery

Qualifications

• Proficiency with RF/electronic test equipment (spectrum analyzers, VNAs, oscilloscopes, power meters, signal generators)
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
• Skilled in writing and updating maintenance plans, build procedures, and work instructions
• Demonstrated ability to source, evaluate, and procure parts and hardware components
• Hands-on experience working in satellite communications industry
• Experience working with antenna/RF systems, integration and troubleshooting

Experience

• 5–10 years of technician/field operations experience or military experience

The pay range reflects the expected base salary for this position. Final compensation will be based on role, level, skills, experience, and geographic location.
